What will it cover?
Mental health affects everyone, yet many men face unique challenges when it comes to recognising difficulties, talking openly about emotions and seeking support. Social expectations, stigma and traditional ideas about masculinity can sometimes make it harder to ask for help or speak honestly about how we are feeling.
Exploring Men’s Mental Health is a reflective and practical workshop that examines the factors influencing men’s wellbeing, including identity, relationships, vulnerability and help-seeking. Through discussion and self-reflection, participants will explore how messages around masculinity can impact mental health, challenge common myths, and learn practical approaches for managing stress, building resilience, strengthening connections and seeking support. Participants will leave with greater awareness and a range of simple, actionable strategies they can put into practice straight away.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explore what is meant by men’s mental health and why it is important.
