Loneliness and isolation can affect anyone, regardless of age, background or circumstances. While loneliness is often associated with being alone, it is possible to feel lonely in a room full of people, and equally possible to enjoy time alone without feeling lonely at all.
Finding connection: Understanding Loneliness and Isolation is a practical and thought-provoking workshop that explores the differences between loneliness, isolation and solitude, helping participants understand why feelings of disconnection can occur and the impact they can have on wellbeing. Through discussion and self-reflection, participants will explore the importance of meaningful connections, identify factors that may contribute to loneliness, and learn practical, realistic strategies for strengthening relationships and building a greater sense of belonging. Participants will leave with increased awareness, actionable wellbeing tools and a personalised plan to support greater social connection in everyday life.
