What will it cover?
Sleeping Well: Building Healthy Sleep Habits is a practical and reflective workshop designed to help participants better understand the factors that influence sleep and identify realistic steps they can take to improve their sleep habits and overall wellbeing.
Rather than focusing on quick fixes, this session explores the connection between sleep, mental health, physical health and daily routines. Participants will consider how factors such as stress, lifestyle habits, sleep environments and attitudes towards sleep can affect both the quantity and quality of their rest.
Through discussion and self-reflection, participants will identify areas that may be impacting their sleep and develop a personalised plan for making positive, sustainable changes.
While this is a short introductory workshop, participants will leave with practical strategies and greater confidence in supporting their sleep and wellbeing.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the relationship between sleep, mental health and physical wellbeing.
- Recognise the factors that can positively and negatively impact sleep quality.
- Explore how health, environment, attitude and lifestyle influence sleep.
- Identify common thoughts and behaviours that can contribute to sleep difficulties.
- Understand how stress, worry and busy lifestyles can affect sleep patterns.
- Assess their own sleep habits and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop realistic, achievable goals for improving sleep quality.
- Create a personalised sleep improvement plan based on their individual needs and circumstances.
